Born in Leningrad in the dying days of the Soviet Union, Niko’s family emigrated to Italy and the United States before settling in Great Britain where he went from behind the Iron Curtain to behind bars, serving a prison sentence for selling drugs at university where he was studying for a degree in history and, ironically, criminology. He now works as a freelance writer, mainly helping students cheat on their homework but also putting out pieces for sites like Gangsters Inc., Salon and Gorilla Convict based on his experiences of crime and drugs.
